Jag kan lära dig: Writing Well: Crafting Compelling Work

I can teach you various English writing and speaking skills. English grammar, punctuation, argument, fiction, poetry, memoir, business writing, academic work, online writing, research, logic. You name it.

In my classes, the student's voice matters. You will come out of our lessons with your own voice and the skills to use that voice in a variety of contexts.

I have a great deal of experience working with second-language learners, neurodivergent students, and students with non-cognitive issues. My lessons will be customized to the needs and desires of each student.

I employ my own spin on holistic creative writing pedagogy, which is to say we will be writing and revising together. Instead of turning an assignment for a grade, we'll work together to come up with writing projects, assess them together, and learn how to revise.

Through practicing revision, we will target any number of writing issues that need attention, discuss them, and practice.

We will discuss your goals as a writer, what kind of writing you are interested in improving, assess and sharpen your skills, and produce work you can be proud of.

• 8 years of teaching English to native and second language learners at a college level, including neurodivergent writers

• 4 years of running creative writing workshops for kids ages 6-18

• 2 years magazine publication experience

• 2 years social media management

As each student and their needs are different, we will work together to identify your needs and tailor a syllabus to your goals and working requirements.
