My goal is to make learning fun. I believe music is a very useful tool for bridging the age gap between my students and myself. I share Power Point and Music Videos with my students and invite them to do the same. Beginning classes with a song is a good ice-breaker. I play guitar and I am a song stylist. I have been known to play a song and sing for my students in class during breaks. I was a Music Therapist at a hospital in my area. On Facebook, my former students remember me as the teacher who made learning fun. I taught English Second Language in a foreign country where I lived for almost 4 years. I met the love of my life there and we got married in her hometown. I enjoy teaching Creative Writing. My elementary students always earned very high Rubrics scores. Since age 14, I have had an interest in Astronomy. I wrote the curriculum to teach Astronomy when I was an Earth Science high school teacher. My students earned high scores on the New York State Regents Earth Science exam. I have 34 years of combined teaching experience. I am excited about adding more years of experience as a Virtual Teacher now that it has become popular.
